Asakusa Sanjya Matsuri
浅草三社祭
Asakusa Sanja Matsuri (Asakusa Sanja Festival), which is one of the Three Great Festivals of EDO (Tokyo) along with the Kanda Matsuri and Sanno Matsuri, is held on the third Saturday and Sunday of every May at Asakusa Shrine in Asakusa, Tokyo. It is famous for its spectacular procession of Mikoshi (portable shrines) and Dashi(float).
