Hibachi ~new usage~

Although “Hibachi” may recall you a cooking stove or a hot plate used in Japanese restaurant, this is the true “Hibachi”.

“Hibachi” is actually used to hold burning charcoal to heat a house. It is kids’ daily treat to go to grandma’s room and roast Mochi (rice cake) or other things in hibachi.

Nowaday, it is rare to see these hibachis to be used as originally desinged, and mostly used, as far as I see in Tokyo, as a fish tank with gold fish.
