Japanese healthy sweet

Anmitsu
Traditional, healthy Japanese sweet, ann-mitsu is everyone’s favorite. Add onto that, ann-mitsu is purely vegetarian friendly sweet, with apart from fruits, “ann (black-ish hemisphere)” is made of beans, small shiny black-ish balls are peas, pink and pale green mat of cherry are “gyuhi” made of rice powder, and the bottom half of the cup is filled with kanten, which is agar (made of seaweeds).

Taste it with “mitsu (its name originates from ann + mitsu)” syrup made of dark brown sugar!
A sip of tea will refresh your mouth now and then.

I had this particular ann-mitsu in Kamakura, ancient capital not so far from Tokyo where you can visit many beautiful temples.
