Yatsugatake is a volcanic group of inactive volcanoes located on the border of Nagano Prefecture and Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan. Although “Yatsu” means eight and “dake” means mountain in Japanese, “Yatsugatake” is the group of mountains of more than 20. Because there are so many various routes set up for beginners to experienced climbers, Yatsugatake is one of Japan’s most popular peaks.
